1.Winter Military Skills Competition 2016 (FINLAND)

Dear Colleagues,

We are arranging every winter "Winter Military Skills Competition" here in Finland. This year (2016) competition will execute here in my home village Liperi

Time for competition: March 5th and 6th, 2016,

Team: 3 - 5 persons, open for all ranks

Language: Finnish, but organisation will set up English speaking person for each international team.

Partisipation fee: 155 € / team

Registration: Not later than February 15th, 2016

Route and tasks:
Competition includes a mandatory route section, as well as some optional controls. A travel distance of approximately 35 km, with the optional controls trip will be more than 40 km. A compulsory section of the route is the task points related to military information and - skills, orienteering and map apart, first aid and civil protection activities.

Team amenities:
The team will be accompanied by the required equipments like food, cooking and eating equipment, dark navigational tools, mobile phone and clothing to suit to the weather.

The organizer distributes amenities
Sleeping bags and sleeping pads come on behalf of the organizers, accommodation takes place on behalf of the organizer, but the use of own tent or similar is permitted. Team or personal mandatory equipment is told separately not later than 2 weeks prior to competition.

Not included: Travelling costs and accommodation before and after competition. We will help to make reservations for reasonable price.

Open Military Skills 2016

Dear Reservist, dear colleagues of the Reserve Forces,

We have the great pleasure to invite you to our exercise “Belgian Reserve Open Military Skills 2016” which will be organised in collaboration with the Belgian Defence Department.

The event will take place on 12^th and 13^th May 2016 with the support from the MEDICAL COMPONENT Service in the barracks Kwartier Lombartzijde ( place LOMBARTZIJDE coast ).

Description of the exercise:

A team of 4 reservists (ALL RANKS) will execute a patrol with several military, physical and survival skills ( JICCS). This exercise will contain: orientation run, map-reading, armament, identification material, mines, LOAC, NBC warfare, test of Air- Naval- and Medical component, obstacle, rope course, first aid, firefighting, etc. It’s obvious that a team that knows to combine these qualities stands a good chance to walk away with all the honour.

As in previous years, it is intended that the teams learn something and convert various matters in practice.

The relationship between the number of theoretical, physical and practical tests is so that each participant, in function of his age, training and fitness are still able to contribute to his team.

Draft program:

Arrival from Wednesday 11 th May 2016 as from 13.00 Hrs. Administration and lodge allocation.

If possible, a small briefing for the foreign teams.

Thursday 12^th May Briefing followed by exercise – part one.

Friday 13^th May Exercise – part two. Reception, prizes distribution and closing-dinner

Saturday 14^th May Departure after breakfast

Cost price:

50, 00 € per person all inclusive , including the special closing-dinner.

Fill in the application forms in double but only the original has to be sent of. Your copy with possible corrections is to be handed over upon your arrival. Please always mention the complete address of each participant in order to avoid problems in our mailing.

For security reasons every participant is held to mention his rank and service number on the application form, to return the military certification form before the 18 April 2016, and to have his identity card (or passport) on him at any time. No military certification form = No access. Only one coach per team is admitted. There is no program for visitors.

The utmost date of registration for all foreign participants is the 18^th April 2016 !!!

Incomplete teams will be completed before the exercise. So if you’re too few or too many don’t hesitate to participate. Mixed international teams are allowed.

Please let know us the following information: arrival date & time, by car - bus - train or airplane (specify airport, flight number AND arrival time). Specify the number of female participants (if applicable).
