Slovenian presidency came to the end in the CISOR Central Committee meeting in Ig, Slovenia, June 2nd to 6th. This two years’ successful presidency has shown the way for the CISOR and had strong contribution to the work of it.

The president of CISOR, Chief Sergeant Major Tomaz Lavtizar said that “Once we learnt to do the things and lead the organisation, we are giving the presidency to the next nation”. This reflects the importance of learning process during the two years presidency. The next Presidency, Finland will face the same exciting challenges.

“Our main goals for the presidency of CISOR 2016 – 2018 are to strengthen international training possibilities, expand CISOR with new member countries and organize international collaboration” said Chief Warrant Officer Ilpo Pohjola, the next president of CISOR.

CISOR congress is the first event during Finnish Presidency. The Congress program will focus on Finnish Defence System and how it positions itself in Europe. The event will be held in the The National Defence University in Helsinki in October 13th to 16th.

“We have prepared this presidency already around two years. With the strong support of The Finnish Defence Forces and The National Defence Training Association of Finland, we are ready to welcome all member countries to the meetings” said Pohjola.
